Stephan Betz, Ph.D. worked for 36 years to apply behavioral insights to human services as a family therapy counselor in Germany, an Executive Director of an Australian public-private joint venture for supported housing and rehabilitation, as Community Action Manager in Contra Costa County, and now as Deputy Director for Human Services in Solano County. He is the recipient of the 2008 Contra Costa / Alameda Counties Council for Disabilities Award for Outstanding Community Services and of Honorary Mentions of the U.S. Congress, the California State Senate, and the California State Assembly. He has served as Solano County First 5 Commissioner since 2004, creating trauma informed service delivery systems for children and adults.
